Design Assistant

Cara’s interest in interior design began at an early age. Growing up in Austin with a father in the custom homebuilding industry, many of her weekends were spent touring homes, walking job sites, and watching ideas come to life—experiences that ultimately shaped her passion for interiors. Cara graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Business Marketing and a minor in Interior Design. During the summer of her junior year, she worked for a local Austin designer, further affirming her desire to pursue a career in the field.

As a Design Assistant for the studio, Cara continues to expand her knowledge while immersing herself in both the creative and technical facets of her role. Detail-oriented and driven, she values being involved throughout key stages of a project, from researching and sourcing to developing finish and fixture schemes, assisting with drawings, coordinating with vendors, and observing progress in the field. She particularly enjoys seeing the many details take shape while strengthening her expertise through hands-on experience.

Cara still walks job sites with her dad and appreciates staying connected to the custom homebuilding world that first inspired her path. Beyond the studio, she spends weekends on the lake and enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Curious by nature, she is always seeking new places, fresh perspectives, and sources of inspiration.
