Financial Controller

Originally from Nebraska, Cassie earned her Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University–Central Texas, graduating as a Distinguished Graduate and receiving the Outstanding Graduate Student in Accounting award for the Class of 2024. She also holds a Bachelor of Music from James Madison University and is currently a CPA Exam Candidate with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Her career has spanned finance, accounting, and business operations across small businesses, corporations, nonprofit organizations, and public education.

As Financial Controller at kc|ID, Cassie oversees the firm’s financial operations while developing systems and processes that support the studio’s creative work and continued growth. Her career has been shaped by an ability to bring structure to complex organizations while never losing sight of the people and purpose behind the numbers. Her background as a musician and songwriter brings an artistic sensibility to her work, along with an appreciation for the craft and stories behind the materials and objects that make a space meaningful.

After living in ten states, Cassie made Texas home eight years ago and now enjoys exploring Austin with her partner and three sons. Her time away from work is often spent traveling, gardening, discovering live music, songwriting, and playing guitar.
